Tour Itinerary

Day 1:

Upon arrival in Cairo our representative who will assist you through passport control formalities, luggage identification & portage will greet you. Transfer from the airport via private A/C car or mini-bus to your hotel for check in and overnight. 

 

Day 2:

Today starts with a guided tour in Giza to visit the legendary majestic Pyramids of Cheops, Chephren and Mykerionos to view these spectacular man-made monuments. Next is a tour inside the Solar Boat Museum next to the Pyramids.

 

Afterwards a tour of the great Sphinx; guarding the Royal Burial Chambers and temple of Cheops.

 

After that starts with a drive to Sakkara to see the Step Pyramid - the first pyramid to be built and the surrounding monuments. Your guide will provide a detailed history on Imhotep, the Egyptian architecture who created this pyramid and how he accomplished this major undertaking.

Return to hotel and overnight in Cairo.

 

Day 3:

Today starts with a tour of the Egyptian Museum. The afternoon and remainder of the day is free for leisure and independent activities.

In the afternoon is a tour of the Citadel. Afterwards is a visit to the Khan El Khalili Bazaar district. Return to hotel and overnight.

Day 4:

Breakfast and check out of hotel. Transfer to airport and board flight to Luxor.

Arrive early morning in Luxor and transfer to cruise ship - your home for the next five days.

Overnight onboard in Luxor. 

 

Day 5:

Today starts with a visit to the exciting ancient sites and visit to Karnak & the Luxor Temples. Overnight onboard in Luxor. 

Day 6:

Luxor / Esna / Edfu

A.M.: Cross to the West Bank. Visit the Necropolis of Thebes, Valley of the Kings, the temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the Colossi of Memnon.

P.M.: Sail to Esna. Cross the lock. Sail to Edfu and overnight.

 

Day 7:

Edfu / Kom Ombo / Aswan

A.M.:  Visit the temple of Horus in Edfu. Sail to Kom Ombo.

P.M.: Visit the temple shared by the two Gods Sobek and Haroeris. Sail to Aswan & overnight.

 

Day 8:

Aswan

A.M.:  Disembarkation after breakfast. Visit of the High Dam and the temple of Philae.

P.M.: View of the Elephantine Island by felucca (sailing boat) and view of Agha Khan Mausoleum.

Afternoon flight back from Aswan to Cairo. Arrive in Cairo and check in to hotel. The remainder of the evening is free for leisure or last minute shopping. Overnight in Cairo. Optional: tour to Abu Simbel. 

 

Day 9:

This day will be free for leisure & overnight in Cairo.

Overnight in Cairo.

 

Day 10:

Breakfast and check out of hotel. Assisted transfer to Cairo International airport for final departure.
